What's New

Updated November 2010

This is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first.

Newsletter No 27 November 2010 is the latest issue of the Newsletter, available only on this website.

Melville Goldbaum has been given access to the Middlesbrough Synagogue Marriage Registers by Teesside Archives, in order to digitise the data. The results of his work can be seen in a special section on this website, setting out comprehensive details of all the Synagogue Marriages from 1871 up to 1984.

Terry Greenberg has, at long  last, completed Parts II and III of his memoirs. Aside from his personal reminiscences, Terry gives a graphic description of life in Middlesbrough in the years preceding World War II

There has been a very encouraging response to "Kehilat Middlesbrough--Past, Present and Future", a hard cover book which contains selected highlights of the website.

David Simon's ten minute "Guided Tour" of the Middlesbrough shul, recorded shortly before the shul closed in November 1998, can now be seen on YouTube.
